Vintage Imperial Glass Ohio Large Footed Oval Console Bowl NEWBOUND Stiegel Green Swirl
This is a lovely deep-bellied oval footed bowl in Imperials Stiegel Green. The pattern name for this bowl is Newbound, rounded swirls coming to a scalloped edge at the rim.
The catalog for this pattern was partially destroyed and my reference book states production years from 1914-1937. I would date this piece to the late 1930's.
The measurements are approximately 10½ x 8¼ inches measured at the rim and is approx. 4½ deep from base to rim.
Made as a console bowl it had a pair of matching double light candlesticks to complete the set. You may be lucky to have or are willing to look for those candlesticks.
There is a very tiny flake on the foot near the mold line and could have been a result when removing the glass from the mold or a bump at some point during use.
Otherwise perfect.
